It can be challenging for the Kitchen Porter at times but very rewarding.
The Company is currently looking for a creative and pioneering Kitchen Porter to join their kitchen team at one of the most vibrant and award-winning Hotel restaurants in the heart of North Somerset. The position is permanent.
Key Features of the Role:
As a Kitchen Porter you will be responsible for all kitchen duties, i.e. washing plates, cutlery and other kitchen utensils, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen including appliances, vegetable prep, unload food and equipment deliveries, keep the storeroom organised, wash up and ensure that after service the kitchen is left spotless in readiness for the next day.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
As a Kitchen Porter you will ideally have similar experience working in a busy kitchen, but this is not essential as the Company can provide all necessary training.
Own transport is essential due to rural location and hours as there is no reliable public transport links and no live-in accommodation.
You should possess ambition to continually push yourself to move up to the next career level.

A catering qualification would be preferred but it is not essential.
You must be emotionally robust and have a positive mental attitude and aptitude.

On offer is a basic salary of £19,500 per annum depending upon your experience and skill set plus Tronc worth around £2500 per annum.
Working 5 or 4 days with 2 or 3 days off respectively per week
Holiday entitlement is 20 days plus all bank and public holidays, rising by 1 day each year for 5 years.
