Fantastic Dorset based award-winning restaurant and bar, part of a larger hospitality group is seeking a passionate and trusted Assistant Manager on a permanently basis to join their vibrant team.
This waterside restaurant is part of a larger South Coast based hospitality Group which comprises some of Hampshire`s and Dorset`s finest restaurants, bars and boutique hotels. Born from a unique and prestigious heritage of a leading independent leisure group, each having an enviable reputation for fine food and drink. Served in superb surroundings, with each restaurant and bar having its own unique concept.
All of the company`s restaurants are situated on the waterfront hence their tagline `meet, drink and eat by the water`.

The guests expect a great experience every time they visit one of their Restaurants and Bars, and together as a team it`s your job to ensure that the customer`s expectations are met, and hopefully exceeded every time they visit.
Key Features of the Role:
As Assistant Manager you will help support the Management Team and be the vital link between them and the FOH and BOH staff, in an award-winning restaurant.

Expected to be self-motivated and to lead a team through professional communication methods and as a mentor, as the face of the company to guests.
As a member of the management team your expected to be emotionally robust and someone who can always offer great customer service, even in the face of adversity and pressure.
A great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award-winning standard, enhancing the company`s reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality that are 2nd to none.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
You should be an accomplished Assistant Manager, ideally with experience of working in a restaurant, gastro pub or in a similar environment.
Previous Assistant Manager experience in a similar role requiring a broad food and beverage knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
Must have experience and a desire to work within catering and hospitality, possessing passion to continually push the business and brand forward, and your own career progression if you want to.
Exemplary customer service skills and a can-do attitude that is service orientated, as well as being able to challenge complacency, acting as a role model to the rest of the team.
Own transport is essential due to location and lack of public transport amenities.
What`s on Offer?
Assistant Manager will be offered a basic salary up to £23,000 based on experience and knowledge, assessed at trial and interview.
Additional earning opportunity through bonus once the first 3 months have been completed successfully and to the satisfaction of the company.
Full time permanent work, 48 hours per week.
2 Days off are calculated as a half day then a full day and then another half day off one after another. For example, if you finished at 4pm on a Wednesday, you would get the whole of Thursday off and would not be back into work until 4pm Friday.
Free parking at venue.
Pay review after successful completion of your first 3 months.
