A luxury four-star large hotel resort situated in the East Hampshire country side with great transport links to and from London. This hotel has a great reputation for the facilities it provides to its guests. With a capacity to hold well over 10,000 day delegates for corporate conferencing and event as well as over 200 weddings a year you certainly will be involved heavily with the food production offered. There is so much diversity in the food offering as a Chef de Partie within this hotel that this is an ideal place of work to further your chef development and career.
They are seeking a Chef de Partie on a full-time bases and as a Chef de Partie it will be your duty to ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard and providing a fine dining experience to guests, whilst assisting and developing the skills of the team.
Key Features of the Role:
As Chef de Partie, you will work in conjunction with service staff to ensure a high level of service is received by the guest, maintaining channels of clear communication between all Teams and Departments.
With such high numbers of guests, it will be essential to have high volume experience without lacking in the superb fresh food cooking and presentation that this hotel prides it self on.
Ensuring all food items are reasonably stocked and available.
Training team members on cooking sections, delegating tasks to Commis and Demi Chefs to motivate, coach and build team work.
Assist other Chefs and the Sous Chef when Head Chef is absent, take responsibility for food cost and wastage, cleanliness, hygiene, stock control, organization and section standards
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Must be an accomplished Chef de Partie
Must have worked in a similar role, hotel structure within your career, preferable working within high volume kitchens.
You must be self-motivated, able to motivate others, possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills so that you can demonstrate in a trial interview, attention to detail and high standards.
You must have a good understanding of all applicable health and safety legislation, budget and stock control, nutritional and allergy knowledge and food control experience.
You must have worked in a fresh food kitchen, having carried out your own food preparation and you must be experienced cooking from scratch.
Re-heating and working with pre-packed, pre-made frozen food menu items are not the background required.
You must be enthusiastic and willing to learn.
Own form of transport is essential due to the location
