The Company and the Role:
This fantastic award-winning Gastro Pub with rooms located just outside Winchester is a superb get away. They are now seeking a Commis Chef to join their fantastic brigade, this position is full time and can also offer accommodation if required.
Their experienced Head Chef brings a new style of classic cuisine to the 1 rosette restaurant. Together with their superb front of house team they will ensure that every customer enjoys a relaxing, memorable experience.
Key Features of the Role:
As this is an award winning establishment, you must show great desire to learn food combinations and seasonal cooking.
As a Commis Chef you will be guided through your days prep and services by the Chef de Partie or other senior Chefs within the kitchen, so you must show great communication skills.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award-winning pub standard, enhancing the company’s reputation for consistently preparing cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality that is second to none.
You will be a lucky Commis Chef as you are working under a very talented Head Chef and the team who will give you the necessary guidance that will increase your ability and knowledge of the catering industry
Knowledge and Skills:
Be an existing Commis Chef with some experience at the same level.
Familiar with all current legislation’s regarding food hygiene, safety, risk assessments etc.
A great passion for cooking and show great enthusiasm to learn.
Used to working with fresh, seasonal ingredients ideally obsessed with British cuisine.
Have a ‘can do’ attitude and ambition to progress your career.
Possess excellent communication and team skills
You will need to have your own form of reliable transport due to their location
What’s on Offer?
A fantastic salary starting at £17,500 up to £20,000 per annum dependent on experience and paid weekly
Tips issued, roughly an extra £200 per month
Accommodation can be offered if required
Working under a very talented Head Chef who creates a fun, happy, family atmosphere
