The Company and the Role:
The Company is a long established utility company based on the South Coast in Hampshire and is renowned for delivering Excellence for its Customers, their People and for the Environment. They are seeking a Mechanical & Electrical ( M & E ) Team Leader.
As the M & E Team Leader you will lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the maintenance of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation ( MEICA) assets and systems across the area in which the Company serves.
This position will utilise your experience as an M & E Supervisor to lead and direct a team of Technicians, Craftsmen, Apprentices, and Administrators within the department.

Key Features of the Role:
Maintain MEICA assets in line with organisational and manufacturers` procedures and protocols and effect timely repair of MEICA assets, ensuring that breakdowns are met with efficient fault finding techniques and root cause analysis.
Installation and commissioning of plant and equipment and ensure production capacity is greater than network demand.
Procurement of materials and services and maintenance of asset management systems.
Plan workloads and liaison with internal departments and external contractors.
Dispatch of work orders to the appropriate staff and provide leadership to the M & E Technical team to operate effectively and efficiently.
Support the Production Supervisor in their duties and implement changes required to maintain and enhance the efficient running of the Production department.
Ensure all out of hours duties are covered by the M & E Technical team and provide support where required.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ideally you will be time served having a recognised apprenticeship qualification, have a strong electrical focus and ideally qualified to HNC level or otherwise will have City and Guilds Part 2 or NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in an electrical subject.
Some mechanical engineering knowledge is desirable as is a Supervisory qualification and a EUSR Water Hygiene (Blue Card)
Due to the nature of the role a valid driving licence is essential and as the post will work across a number of sites in the region and you will be required to pass the Company`s own Driver assessment
The work will require a level of physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces with successful completion of the appropriate training including on breathing apparatus.
