Job Details
An Electrical Design Engineer is needed at a liquid food packaging manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BTEC in Electrical Engineering. You would be working closely with the Research and Development Engineer, Operations Director and Production Manager in designing new systems and improving existing systems. Our client is steadily expanding their operations and is looking to bring a person on board that can work under pressure and deliver to strict time constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
- Applying customer specifications to the design of new electrical systems
- Liaising with technical team to improve existing systems
- Testing new systems and amending designs
- Compilation of design reports and other technical documentation
- Technical compliance
- Customer support
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
Essential:
- BTEC in Electrical Engineering (minimum) or time served
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel.
- Work with in a team, but also independently
- Meeting strict deadlines by balancing workloads and customer demands
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or similar design software
- An understanding of UL
- Knowledge of IEC Standards, low voltage and machinery directives
