Description :
Our client is looking to hire a Property Maintenance Assistant to maintain several exclusive client properties around London. Candidates will be joining a team which is responsible for general repairs and basic installations, as well as oversite of outside contractors working onsite. A Property Maintenance Assistant will have knowledge of the building trade i.e. carpentry, painting, decorating, plastering, plumbing and electrics. Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake general repairs throughout properties including carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling, etc., including installation of gutters and drainpipes
- Economically source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers
- Oversee contractors working onsite
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard
- Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on-call assistance
- Adhere to all of the Company’s policies and procedures
- Assist other staff members as required
- Undertake any other duties as and when required
Person Specification:
- Strong time management, organisation and planning skills
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to use their initiative
- Highly flexible and adaptable – ability to work overtime on weekdays and weekends and be on call
- Can work under pressure with the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Extremely confidential and discreet
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
Essential:
- Knowledge of a building trade i.e. carpentry, painting, decorating, plastering, plumbing and electrics etc.
- Conversant in English
- Passionate about Property Maintenance
- Good knowledge of current Building Regulations.
Desirable:
- Experience of fit outs/refurbishments is an advantage
Hours:
- 40 hours (5 days) per week
