A reputable independent fostering agency with an ‘Outstanding’ rating by Ofsted is seeking multiple Foster Carers in the East Anglia region to help children and young people develop and grow, to achieve their full potential. Our client is very keen on speaking to ex-military individuals who may be interested in this unique opportunity as they strongly believe the transferable skills you have gained in the Forces will be suitable for this responsibility.
The Foster Carer will be someone who will have a spare room, be an excellent communicator, an active role model, and be resilient. In most cases the foster child lives with you full time, but the length of stay depends on their individual needs. Foster care is not like adoption, it is not a permanent arrangement and you will be paid on allowance to look after the child.
Our client recruits, trains and supports new and existing carers undertaking proper matching processes to find the right placements and to ensure carers are equipped to foster.
Salary is around £1,500 p/m per child in care (with significant tax breaks) and will be given full support and training on becoming a Foster Carer; additional allowances are provided for certain circumstances.
