A Plant Operation & Maintenance Engineer is required to provide the basic operation and maintenance of a small plant site in Salisbury. The Plant Operation & Maintenance Engineer will need to have a mechanically biased background ideally with previous experience in relation to pressure, temperature and flow, however training is provided to the right person. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with working with light supervision. Working hours and schedules are flexible for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
Basic operation and maintenance of a small utilities plant, from identification of leaks and minor faults to managing specialist contractors on any faults requiring specialist attention
Day to day running of the plant which is largely automated and operates autonomously in the main
Source and secure basic supplies for the plant
Continuous improvement of the plant
Basic housekeeping in the plant area
Calibrations of certain instrumentation
Person Specification
Essential:
Minimum NVQ level 3 qualifications in either manufacturing, marine or mechanical engineering
Has minimum 3 years hands-on mechanical engineering in hydraulics
Has some low voltage skills at a diagnostic level
Attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication
Desirable:
Knowledge of steam plant processes
Process plant operation expertise and knowledge involving flow, pressure, temperature, and level measurement and control.
Salary:
Up to £38,000 depending on experience
