A Logistics Manager is needed at a well-established construction supply company with local and national reach. A Logistics Manager will lead a small team in the day-to-day running of two onsite warehouses but also be required to get hands on if needed. Leadership is key in this role and a successful candidate will have to have proven experience. Previous experience in a logistics, transport or warehousing environment is also vital.

Key duties/responsibilities:
- Responsible for the smooth operation of roughly 15 staff members across two onsite warehouses
- Manage the goods in and goods out operations of the business
- Organize the efficient delivery schedule using the company fleet and courier services
- Consolidate deliveries with customer pick-ups inbound to the company
- Organize the shift patterns to ensure full coverage during working hours
- Monitor and ensure all stock is maintained at optimum quality
- Ensuring company H&S standards are followed
- Liaise with Sales Team to ensure customer deliveries are completed efficiently
- Ensuring safe and efficient working practices are followed at all times
Person Specification
- Previous experience in a logistics, transport or warehousing environment
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Physically fit
- Excellent communicator
Essential qualification, skills and experience
- Proven leadership experience
- UK Driver’s licence
- Good computer skills (E-mail and Microsoft Office)
Desirable
- Experience in Merlin and Maxopera Software packages
Salary/Hours
- £30,000 – 35,000K DOE
- Full time/permanent
- Two shifts: 7:30am – 5:00pm and 9:30am – 7:00pm
- Overtime available
