Job Details
A Senior Technical Architect is needed by a successful Enterprise Information Management (EIM) company based in Central London. You will lead a team that designs, configures and deploys an innovative new information management software platform for key clients. The Senior Technical Architect will own the design and technical implementation of the customer’s architecture and will work closely with the project manager and senior team members to ensure a successful project outcome. If you have excellent leadership skills, are experienced at creating high level design documents and have a degree in an area such as Computer Science, then this role will appeal to you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the design, configuration and deployment of the software platform
- Ownership of the design and technical implementation of customer’s architecture
- Implementation programming (C++, Java or Microsoft.NET), building reports and applications
- Liaise with project team and senior team members to ensure successful outcome
- Pre-sales and post-sales support as required, including training of end users
Essential:
- Experienced in the creation of high-level design documents
- A degree or equivalent in a related area such as Computer Science
- Interest in innovative technology in a business environment
- Concern for how technology can be used to improve business processes
- Outstanding communication skills
- Leadership experience
Desirable:
- Ability to coach a team and lead projects
- Proficient in data collection, preparation, cleansing and enrichment
- Understanding of object orientated programming and data modelling
- Awareness of how unstructured data can be modelled and value extracted
- Microsoft SQL Server, Elasticsearch, JavaScript/HTML/CSS, Microsoft.NET or Java
- Technologies such as NoSQL databases, big data, MapReduce and Enterprise Search
- Microsoft Azure and/or Google Computer Cloud, Excel
- Microsoft SSIS or equivalent ETL tools
- Experience in financial services, utilities, government and technology
