HQ5564 Stores Assistant
Location: Leven, Fife
Salary: £18,000 - £21,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.15pm
Friday 8.30am to 430pm
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Stores Assistant to join the team and work for the UK’s leading manufacturer and installer of alarm systems for the protection of staff at risk of violence at work. The Stores Assistant will be responsible to the Stores/Purchasing Manager and will be required to assist alongside in all areas of the Stores Department. This position is based at the Head Office in Leven, Fife.
Applications from ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy and Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged, however all applications will be considered
Key Responsibilities;
- Picking and processing of parts for issue to Production Team for assembly/manufacture
- Picking, processing, packing and shipping sales orders from stock
- Maintaining accurate records of goods shipped
- Receiving and processing goods in from Suppliers
- General stores duties
- Purchasing parts for both the production and engineer teams
Person Specification;
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Ability to work on their own or as part of a team
- Ability to work to and meet deadlines
- Computer literate
- Ability to follow technical instructions
- A flexible attitude to work
- Able to show initiative when required
Essential;
- Experience and knowledge of working within a stores environment
- Ability to problem solve
- Knowledge of electronics manufacture and electronic components
- Qualifications not essential
