Key Features of the Role:

  • Managing existing clients with their import and export needs, by telephone or email.
  • Supporting the business with sales enquiries and tenders or quotes.
  • Working closely with the management team and autonomously on daily duties and responsibilities.
  • Use the companies database to track and note work and requests being conducted.
  • Ensure that all documentation and paperwork is completed effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensure that all lines of communication are maintained and continuously updated
  • Monday to Friday (40-hour week).

Knowledge and Skills Required:

To be successful in this Import Exports Specialist role you will need to be knowledgeable and experienced around import and export gorgon, paperwork, documentation, and regulations.

Either experience within Air, Sea or Road freight is a preference, experience in all three areas would make your case stronger for a higher basic salary.

You have to be able to get to the local site in Hampshire, (just outside Southampton), public transport is a viable commute option, and onsite free parking is available for car drivers.

You must be able to liaise, coordinate and manage clients confidently, as well as work closely with internal stakeholders to prioritise workloads.

Able to use a CRM database and have used one in your current and previous roles to manage client data, account details, jobs, actions, dairy, bookings, sales, leads etc.

Able to work remotely under own supervision if you are in the office on your own.

Customer service focused professional communicator, dedicated to quality, who will not over promise and under deliver just to get a sale or lead.

Ability to represent and promote the brand in a passionate and enthusiastic way.

What is on Offer?

This Import Export Specialist opportunity pays between £25K - £28K per annum based on experience.

Full-time permanent opportunity in a critical business role.
