This excellent 3-Star venue caters for hotels guests, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also cater for private functions and corporate events, as well as drawing in tourist trade and local diners.

This awesome brand has a great hotel venue in a fantastic central location, within in the beautiful countryside of Hampshire, very close to the South Coast within easy reach of nature walks, beaches, and a historic town centre.

You could become an integral part of the hotels FOH management team and lead by example in these challenging times, helping your team to be the best it can be.

The Restaurant Manager is involved with various specialist and bespoke events hosted by the venue throughout the year, as an essential point of contact.

Key Features of the Role:

  • Overseeing operations of the restaurant, effectively managing the team to ensure smooth operation on a day-to-day basis, ensuring quality / standards are maintained.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, cleanliness of facility through training of employees, creating a positive, productive work environment.
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
  • Implement and engage in marketing, promotional activities and campaigns set by General Manager...
  • Ensure all equipment is kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant`s preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant`s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
  • Control food and beverage cost and usage by making sure bar, restaurant and kitchen team follow proper requisition of products, product storage procedures, standard recipes, and waste control procedures.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Accomplished Deputy / Assistant / Restaurant Manager with a good employment record.
  • Excellent knowledge of service and food and beverage.
  • Front-of-the-house, and back-of-house operations experience is a must.
  • Able to host a room, setting the tone for a relaxed yet professional style of service that is guaranteed to ensure guests can sit back and enjoy their time whilst in the restaurant.
  • Able to show creativity and empowerment to those around them by giving that little extra in everything they do.
  • Be confident, adaptable with a positive attitude and emotionally robust.
  • Essential you can support, and work as part of a respectful and communicative team.
  • Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) Training is preferred but not essential.
  • Personal Licence Holder is preferred but not essential.
  • PMS System trained is preferred but not essential.

What is on Offer?

This is an excellent opportunity within an expanding independently owned business.

Basic salary for a Restaurant Manager will depend upon your experience, knowledge, and skill set, up to £25,000 + Tips on top.

45 hour working week over 5 days, shift will depend upon business needs. Rotas are published on a weekly basis. Free meals on duty, lunch is at 11.30am and dinner at 4pm.

Holidays are 28 days including bank and public holidays. There is a staff discount scheme giving 25% of food in their establishments.
