The Company and the Role:
The Company is a high end Estate Resort & Villa complex which has a unique collection of standalone villas and larger residences along with one-and-two bedroom suites.
Located on a 1200-acre estate that benefits from a wide variety of amenities including four beaches, four restaurants and bars, a championship 18-hole golf course, a complimentary kids and teens club open daily, three tennis courts, lit for night play, non-motorized water sports, hiking trail and a fitness centre
They are now seeking a Chief Engineer.
Oversee and manage maintenance operations for exterior and interior facilities including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, cooling, structural and other engineering work necessary to maintain the Resort and surrounding environment in an optimum and efficient condition.
Key Features of the Role:
- Plan, implement, and effectively administer the preventive maintenance program for the Resort Villas, Suites, F & B outlets, staff housing in accordance with contractual obligations and good maintenance practices and schedule all projects with minimum inconvenience to Villa owners, guests, and employees.
- Maintain and operate air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and refrigeration systems,
F & B outlets structures, furniture, fixtures, and installed equipment.
- Monitor and co-ordinate the services performed by outside contractors in accordance with all contracts, service agreements and warranties.
- Co-ordinate with the Group Development Director on Capex projects.
- Work, coach and effectively manage employees and assign the most qualified person for the job in hand.
- Conduct ongoing inspection of Resort Villas, suites, and staff accommodations to plan future maintenance works.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Be an accomplished Chief Engineer, strong in maintenance operations ideally with experience in the hotel and resort sector.
- Ideally possess a bachelor`s degree in engineering, project management or equivalent
- Formal training and experience of refrigeration, plumbing, air conditioning, building and construction engineering.
- Working understanding and experience in planned preventative maintenance systems and management of small projects.
- Demonstrable skills in leading and training a local workforce.
- Excellent communicator skills (Verbal and Written).
- Willing to work flexible hours.
- Proactive, hands-on approach.
- Excellent IT/ pc, project management and decision-making skills.
What`s on Offer?
The basic salary is paid in USD and is tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. In addition, there is an annual bonus which is also paid in USD and tax free for an Ex-Patriate employee. A company vehicle is also provided along with a laptop and a mobile phone.
Free accommodation on the Resort is provided along with all utility bills paid. Free meals in the staff canteen.
Holiday entitlement is 24 days per year laundry, local transport, medical insurance and sick pay are also provided
In addition, all Ex-Pat employees will receive 1 paid return economy flight per year. Mobilization and De-Mobilization flights are also paid for by the Company. A relocation allowance is also payable.
