The Company and the Role:

Awesome permanent opportunity for a Chef de Partie to join a newly created Gastro Pub kitchen restaurant team, working on a varied fresh food menu, located in the Romsey, Stockbridge area.

This independently owned Gastro Pub venue has a proven track record of good value for money and is graded as 4 out of 5 by patrons and guests that visit the Gastro Pub and restaurant, according to Trip Advisor, with both its food and service ratings receiving very high satisfaction reviews.

Opening hours are 7 days a week with Monday to Saturday 11:00 till 23:00 and Sunday 11:00 till 20:00.

The restaurant produces a range of culinary dishes to suit a whole range of guests including Vegetarian friendly, Vegan options and Gluten Free options, with menu items influenced by both international, British, Bar and Pub dishes, across Lunch time and Dinner service.

As Chef de Partie you will work across multiple kitchen stations, within a brigade team, working through the food order tickets, as they come in.

Key Features of the Role:

  • Chef de Partie will be heavily involved in preparing and cooking fresh food menu items for the day-to-day service level requirements.
  • Producing various plates from bar snack nibbles and starters, house regular dishes and specials, meat, poultry, fish dishes, as well as pizzas and salads.
  • Working 5 days a week as a permanent full-time member of the restaurant brigade team.
  • Chef de Partie will be expected to communicate and work well with others.
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic cooking methods (not just using a microwave or boiling in a bag meals), able to cook from scratch and produce good looking dishes.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Previous catering and hospitality education or certification would be a great advantage.

Some fresh food Chef experience is essential, not just ‘microwaving’ or ‘boiling in a bag’ Cooking experience.

Chef de Partie will need to have worked on kitchen stations and be willing to learn and develop new skill and techniques.

You must have your own reliable transport (Car or Bike) as the venue is not accessible by public transport and there is no live-in option available.

You must be legally entitled to work in the UK and have your necessary documents or paperwork to complete employability checks, you must also live in the local county and able to interview face to face, as a kitchen trial will need to be completed.

What’s on Offer?

Chef de Partie role will pay a basic annual salary between £26,000 to £28,000.

Tips will be on top of your basic salary.

A uniform will be provided.

Working 5 days a week on a rota, with some weekends off.

Free parking on site for your car or bike.
