The Company and the Role:
The Company is one of the largest Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) suppliers in the UK and has over 30 years’ experience providing alternative energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers.
Part of a major plc, a sales, marketing, distribution and business support services group headquartered in Europe, the Company is a highly successful business that places people at the heart of their organisation.
The Company is seeking an additional a Mini Bulk Delivery Driver at their depot in South West Cornwall. The position is permanent.

Key Features of the Role:
- Delivering (LPG) in bulk or cylinders to domestic and commercial customers in and around the South West Cornwall area which will include some weekend working.
- Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures and all necessary paperwork ensuring accuracy standard is maintained.
- Meeting the Company’s Driver performance standards
- Loading the vehicle on site in accordance with site procedures and Deliveries to customer premises in accordance with customer and site procedures
- Ensure that the Company and brand is held in the utmost regard when delivering the product to the customer and fully understand the products and services sold by the team on-site.
- Fully conversant with all the vehicles operations on site in case of colleague absences and vehicle malfunctions and take responsibility for loading and discharging in a sensible manner and in accordance with our client’s policy and procedures.
- Recognise the role teamwork has in the company’s success and will contribute to this through displaying enthusiasm, co-operation and flexibility; treating others the way they would wish to be treated themselves.
Knowledge and Skills:
Ideally an accomplished Tanker Driver with an ADR in ‘Tanks’ with minimum Class 2 gasses. (Gases in packages advantageous)
Possess HGV 2 Category C or C + E licence with a Driver Qualification Card (DCPC).
A Digital tacho card is essential and previous experience in a similar role in the fuel industry is an advantage.
Be a keen team player with a focus on providing excellent customer service, have excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
Be familiar with health and safety procedures as they relate to the work of a Tanker Driver and with safe loading and unloading procedures and defensive driving techniques.
Reliable, flexible approach to working hours, honest and trustworthy.
What’s on Offer:
The basic salary will be dependent upon your experience and the qualifications you hold.
The working week is a 45-hour week.
Overtime to be worked on an “as and when” basis, when required.
Holiday entitlement of 25 days pro rata plus bank holidays.
Death in Service insurance and a pension scheme.
Fully committed training, development and refreshment courses, planned each year both in-house and externally supported by the Company.
