The Company and the Role:

The Company was founded in 1994 and has won many awards. They provide IT managed services and enterprise-level hosting services to mid-market companies.

Their customer base is in construction, education, financial services, health trust, manufacturing and transport, public sector, retail and distribution, and third sector state sponsored industries.

They are very supportive to the ex-military community so expressions of interest from serving or ex-military personnel with IT and Communications expertise are very welcome.

The Company is seeking an Information Security Team Leader to be based at a client’s site in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The position is permanent.


Key Features of the Role:

• Prepare vulnerability scans and tests and produce monthly reporting.
• Day to day monitoring security events via SIEM tool.
• Provide support for Security Administrators.
• Participate security governance & compliance functions.
• Participate in security testing (Penetration Tests internal and external)
• Assist with Server Hardening and environmental security and controls.
• Work to assist with internal support functions for security incident resolution
• Support all teams including Apps Hosting, Network, Infrastructure, EPIC, Service Desk and Field services, to resolve issues and identify recurring failures in the contractual IT services provision and resulting service credits.
• Providing support in maintaining the ISO 20000, 27001 & 27005 process relating to information security.
• Support the day to day management of the Information Security team to ensure that quality standards are met, and workload is allocated effectively to optimise available resource and skill levels.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Ideally experienced in Wintel Server Administration Experience
• Security Management Principles
• Knowledge of scripting and security tools.
• Knowledge of ISO27001 and appropriate security models.
• Strong service attitude; builds lasting customer relationships
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and clearly to both IT and business staff
• Clear vetting in terms of CRB and Enhanced CRB.
• Knowledge of SLA’s.
• ITIL foundation.
• Certified Ethical Hacker or equivalent
• Previous Team lead experience
