A rapidly expanding industrial machines supplier to large corporations and household names across multiple sectors in the UK is seeking a Workshop Engineer to overhaul, repair and refurbish machines in their high-paced Burnley depot.
A Workshop Engineer will need to have a mechanical-bias with experience in plant machinery. Ide
ally, Workshop Engineers will also need excellent soft skills: teamwork, a can-do attitude, flexibility and be very organised. The company is looking for an immediate start date. Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
• Working alongside the Lead Workshop Engineer and the UK Head of Service
• Working to tight deadlines on repairing and servicing electrical and engine powered machinery (new and old)
• Conduct PDI testing before being green tagged and put back into service
• Fault Diagnosis of equipment coming into the workshop from our customers / Site Engineers
• Overhaul, repair and refurbishment of machines
• Check performance levels before and after service
• Reporting and logging of work done into our job control system
Person Specification:
• Have minimum GCSE qualifications
• Have previous maintenance experience with heavy plant machinery
• Mechanically-biased
• Proven experience in accomplishing targets successfully
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Able to work as a team and on own initiative
• Be adaptable and highly organised
• Driving licence
Salary: Up to £24,000 basic (DOE)
