A small expanding company based in Kent is seeking an individual to become a HVAC Engineer to provide planned and reactive maintenance for its customers in London and South East England. The Trainee HVAC Engineer is to have a strong interest in joining this sector and is able to learn on the job well. Although you do not need to have previous experience in HVAC and refrigeration, you must have a CSCS card and have NVQ level 3 in an engineering discipline.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned/PPM/reactive maintenance tasks
- Ensure that Health & Safety regulations are adhered to whilst working at customers` premises.
- Survey and preparation of costs for minor improvement works as well as manage through to completion
- Work on a number of air and water flow rates which include general supply and extract systems, VAC systems and VRF systems, moduline systems, FAT boxes, chilled and condenser systems, induction units, variable and fixed orifice valves, pic valves and iris dampers
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Educated to a minimum NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering discipline
- Excellent communicational skills both written and verbal
- Strong people skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Must have CSCS card
Desirable:
- Some technical knowledge of HVAC systems
