Job Details
An Electrical Design Engineer is needed at a liquid food packaging manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a BTEC in Electrical Engineering and Excellent AutoCAD Electrical. Our client is steadily expanding their operations and is looking to bring a person on board with the ability to design, build and test new electrical systems, work under pressure and deliver to strict time constraints.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applying customer specifications to the design of new electrical systems
- Liaising with technical team to improve existing systems
- Testing new systems and amending designs
- Compilation of design reports and other technical documentation
- Technical compliance
- Customer support
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
Essential:
- BTEC in Electrical Engineering or higher
- Excellent AutoCAD Electrical
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel.
- Work with in a team, but also independently
- Meeting strict deadlines by balancing workloads and customer demands
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- An understanding of UL
- Knowledge of IEC Standards, low voltage and machinery directives
