Job Details
A Sales Engineer is needed at a liquid food packaging manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have sales experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment) and a background in Engineering or an understanding on engineering principles. Our client is steadily expanding their operations and is looking to bring a person on board with the ability to build relationships, work under pressure and deliver to strict time constraints.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building relationships with new customers and managing existing accounts
- Travel to sites in UK and worldwide to support company agents and providers
- Pre-sales technical assistance
- Product sales and support, including product education
- Tendering contracts and terms of business
- Attending conferences and trade shows
- Liaising with sales and technical department
Knowledge/Experience/Skills
Essential:
- Sales experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment)
- Background in Engineering or an understanding on engineering principles
- Clean driving licence
- Work with in a team, but also independently
- Meeting strict deadlines by balancing workloads and customer demands
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to internal and external stakeholders
Desirable:
- Any foreign language skills
