The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, 1000 seater Restaurant, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
The 1000 seater restaurant opens Early January 2020 and the Company is currently seeking to recruit a number of Cooks.
The role is considered permanent in that the role is for 2 years i.e. Until the end of 2021.
If successful you must be able to start work, no later than Mid December 2019.
Key Features of the Role:
The role is varied and will include the following:
Prepare and cook main meals, snacks and cold deserts, breakfast fayre, salads and products for a vending operation throughout the site (packed sandwiches etc)
Work in a clean and orderly method at all times, taking direction when needed and following a production schedule and manual.
Be a site ‘ambassador’ for the company when relating to client, staff and customers
Be aware that Company Personal and Food Hygiene Policy and procedures are applied continuously and that there are no breaches of Statutory or Local Authority regulations.
39 hour working week, Monday to Friday, £11.30 per hour
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be an accomplished Cook ideally NVQ level 2 and able to engage with other staff and customers.
Use of Kitchen Equipment and assist in the service of dishes and set up of the Canteen.
Must be able to attain a satisfactory DBS disclosure and Drug and Alcohol testing will be required
Successful completion of relevant Safety Training will be required
The working day is expected to start between 6am and 7am (Monday to Friday) therefore must be able to get to the work site in Fawley.
Own Transport is essential
