Description :

An innovative UK ultrasound company based in Bristol are seeking a dynamic and driven Medical Devices Technician to take a key role within the business. The Medical Devices Technician will be responsible for the timely completion of repair, planned maintenance and associated equipment management tasks. Being part of a growing but highly professional team, flexibility of approach will be required to meet team objectives.

The company works closely with expert medical professionals and facilities to integrate state-of-the-art portable ultrasound technology with accredited training. The Medical Devices Technician will have a safety-conscious approach and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels. This is an ideal role for an enthusiastic engineer wanting to work outside the public sector and it is envisaged that the role will grow in its scope and responsibility as the company develops. Training provided to successful candidate. Willingness to travel across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for technical related activities
  • Self-manage and prioritise the direction of day to day activities to achieve timely completion of repair, planned maintenance and associated equipment management tasks
  • Be the first port of call for engineering advice and support within the organisation and to its customers
  • Configuring, commissioning and installation of devices
  • Managing customer service requirements, PPM, warranty to onsite repairs

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Degree/HNC level, or equivalent in Electronics
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Enthusiasm and can-do attitude
  • Have honesty, integrity, and awareness of both GDPR and commercial data protection
  • An ability to cope under pressure, be adaptable and multi-task is required
  • Excellent communication
  • Excellent presentation and networking
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK

Desirable:

  • Have previous knowledge of servicing medical devices including their safety and efficacy, although training will be provided.
  • Experience of working as a biomedical engineer
  • Experience in capital medical equipment
  • NHS experience an advantage

Salary:

£24,000 -  £30,000
