UK Fleet Maintenance Manager required by one of the world’s leading suppliers of aviation fuel and a globally renowned Fortune 100 brand!
Responsible to the Director of Operations, the UK Maintenance Manager is the delivery agent responsible for driving results through World Fuel Services’ physical asset operations in the United Kingdom. For the United Kingdom, the position will be responsible for the day-to-day routine management of all UK Plant and Vehicle Fitters and oversee the current scheduled and reactive maintenance programme`s within all UK Commercial and General Aviation locations.
The role holder will Manage the UK Plant and Vehicle Fitters located across GPO (A) UK.
Principal Responsibilities:
• Manage the UK Plant and Vehicle Fitters located across GPO (A) UK.
• Control and manage budgets for equipment and manning resources.
• Ensure all planned maintenance programs within GPO (A) UK are completed on time and recorded within Planet Facilities Management (PFM) system.
• Ensure resources available to cover unplanned maintenance requirements within GPO (A) UK locations (GA and Commercial).
• Direct liaison with GPO (A) UK General Aviation WFS management and operating locations, to ensure serviceability of assets at locations is maintained.
• Implementation of QHSE standards and processes within GPO (A) UK maintenance departments (All UK locations).
• Responsible for applying all Quality & Technical policies within WFS Aviation segment for the UK, in line with corporate and Industry standards.
• Manage UK physical assets including Plant and Vehicle maintenance staff and equipment assets, and provide oversight, guidance, training and organizational alignment to achieve safety, regulatory and operational excellence and best practices.
• Responsible for ensuring that GPO (A) UK maintenance staff are trained and equipped to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of UK aviation operations; specific attention should be made towards succession planning and business continuity capability.
• Manage the day-to-day maintenance operations in supported UK airport storage and into plane facilities.
The Individual
Essential:
• Experience of leading team of mechanics in a HGV repair and maintenance workshop
• Workshop management experience (HGV vehicle maintenance)
• HGV driving license.
• Formal mechanical qualifications
• Budget management experience
• Strong team working skills
• Strong English oral and written communication skills
Desirable:
• Experience in Risk Management/Assessment within workshop environment
• Maintenance of specialist plant equipment and bulk fuel storage Sites
• Aviation working experience
