The Company and the Role:
Permanent full time Chef de Partie opportunity, working in a 4.5 star rated restaurant based in Central Southampton.
This exciting venue is part of a well-known group of bars and restaurants offering a wide range and styles of menu choices and fresh menu items.
The Company is offering 48 hours per week with a basic salary, plus tips on top and a host of other additional benefits.
This is a perfect career move for a Junior Chef, Line Cook, Station Cook, Demi Chef or someone at a similar Chef de Partie level or higher who wants the chance to develop a name for themselves and to work without supervision.
You will have a great opportunity to learn new styles of cooking, as well as creative food and menu items, using fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce.

The Chef de Partie role required a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy restaurant and bar, where the Company`s reputation for consistently preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality, is second to none.
You will be a valued member of the team assisting the Head Chef to produce the best quality results for every customer`s culinary experience emulating the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
The venue can have very busy lunch and evening services due to many varied private functions, corporate events and other themed events so you will need to be able to handle prep work and a busy service ranging in 100-180 covers, producing high standards and demonstrating good attention to detail.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Accomplished Demi CPD, Chef De Partie, Senior CDP working in a fresh food kitchen.
Your practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering qualification.
Passionate producing the perfect dish every time, having a desire to aim for high standards.
Attention to detail is essential, with fresh, quality food and someone who can thrive under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
Able to take direction and always apply yourself in a professional manner.
Successful team player who can respectfully communicate to the team.
You will be required to carry out a trial shift, which will assess your skills, ability, attitude, aptitude and your performance when carrying out the explained food tasks. This will determine your salary level and personal development plan.

What`s on Offer?
As a Chef de Partie your standard contracted working hours will be 48 hours per week, 5 days on, 2 days off. Flexible shift patterns, however on average most kitchen staff work 42 hours per week.
Basic salary will be £21,000 per annum based on the skills, ability, aptitude, attitude and all-round cookery test performance.
Basic salary is paid monthly, plus tips on top (paid fortnightly), with a total package around £22,000 - £24,000 per annum.
On-going training and development to help you achieve a higher career Chef level and increased earnings and basic salary, for those who can prove their ability.

20 days` holidays plus bank and public holidays or if required to work a day off in lieu.
