Description :
Our client is an innovative technology business focused on delivering a state-of-the-art radiotherapy system which is likely to play a crucial role in the affordable treatment of cancer. An Installation Engineer will be responsible for assembly/install, testing and maintenance of this system to customers in the UK and overseas. Candidates need an HNC in Engineering or equivalent plus a minimum 5 years’ experience working as a service or installation technician. A strong team player with a proactive and solid “can-do” attitude is just as important as the essential hard skills listed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly, test and install system components at test site and customer site
- Work with 3rd party suppliers and customers to achieve safe and cost-effective methods of installing the systems and associated equipment within tight constraints
- Establish maintenance and service procedures to ensure that the target of clinical uptime can be achieved
- Assist with the development of the system and drive changes based on the installation/service requirements
- Assist with the design of the mechanical interfacing between the system and facility
- Update assembly and/or installation procedures

Essential:
- Minimum of an HNC or equivalent in engineering
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as service technician/engineer or installation technician/engineer in complex systems such as particle accelerator, radiation oncology systems, surgical systems, complex industrial automation systems, or aerospace/defense systems;
Desirable:
- Specific experience in a class 2 medical device environment a plus
