Job Details
Specialists in fibre solutions are looking for multiple Telecom Field Surveyors to undertake surveying, planning and designing cost effective FTTH networks for enabling residential and business customers across the UK. This is a full-time contract position that lasts for 1 month but followed by a 6 month rolling contract. Candidates must have a valid driving license.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read Civils maps
- Identify Road Surfaces / Types
- Identify Virgin Media cabinets / manholes / network locations
- Take measurements between points marked on map, beware of utilities and mark up on map
- Identify any possible wayleave issues
- Identify any health & safety hazards
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Good PC skills, updating field survey information on hand held device
- Willingness to travel
- Drawing up rough sketches of the internal of Multiple Dwelling Units
Desirable:
- Experience with RF and Fibre Networks
- Experience reading utility drawings
Location: Manchester, South and West Yorkshire
Salary:
Circa £16 per hour (price work available)
