Job Details
Our client is one of the leading UK Chemical manufacturers and is now looking to recruit an Instrument Technician to start immediately. An Instrument Technician will need to have a recognised instrumentation apprenticeship and educated to RQF level 3 in a Control/Instrumentation discipline as a minimum. A further £4K can be earned if candidates have experience in working with high-voltages up to 415v.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel (British Army, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy or Royal Marines) are strongly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Instrumentation preventative and reactive maintenance work
- Instrumentation plant installation and modification work
- Instrumentation calibrations work following ISO9001
- Statutory inspections
- Log progress in Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
Person Specification
Essential:
- RQF level 3 in a Control/Instrumentation discipline as a minimum
- Completed an instrumentation apprenticeship
- Use and interpret equipment drawings, manuals and other technical information to assist with all works.
- Work in accordance with the company safe systems of work and permit to work systems.
Desirable
- Understanding of ATEX requirements, both Gas & Vapour (Ex01-04) and Dust (Ex05-06)
- Experience with high-voltages up to 415v (extra £4k per annum)
