Job Details
We are recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Van |Driver to join this fast growing business. The hours are 42.5 per week. Working Monday to Friday between
6am - 8pm. This is a fast paced industrious working environment. As part of the role you will be required to lift boxes of books weighing up to 25kgs each and during your day you will be visiting up to 9 shops per trip to collect 70 boxes.
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have excellent Customer Service Skills and good attention to detail as you will be required to complete collection paperwork to a high standard.
Main Responsibilties
Some of the key responsibilties are
Driving to charity shops in the order prescribed by the Company routing software to collect books
Weighing books and accurately completing collection receipts at each shop
Safely loading boxes/bags of books onto the van at charity shops
Safely unloading the van upon retunr to the depot
Completing daily vehicle safety checks and advsiing any faults
Accurate and legible completion of daily planning sheets (hours, mileage and weights)
Collection and delivery of additional items as required on your daily routine plan
Person Specification
A full clean UK Driving Licence
Experience of heavy lifting/manual labour
Excellent time keeping skills
Good customer service skills
