Job Details
The Project Engineer will commission, set to work and witness the lighting control scope. Provide off-site and onsite aftercare services to ensure that the lighting control system is maintained to a high level of operation to various projects, historical and current of varying technical complexity.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will relevant for this position but other qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Site Work
LonWorks network commissioning
DALI Skills
- Address DALI drivers and inverters correctly with Tridonic tool
- Extend a DALI network
- Identify and correct duplicate DALI addresses
- Identify & fault-find DALI shorts and DALI open circuits
- Address sensors
1-10V
DSI
- IP network configuration of routers, gateways, and user interfaces
- Configurations of peripherals, such as sensors, scene panels and switch interfaces
- Software configuration, such as grouping, scene control, corridor hold and daylight regulation
- Verify system operation and report inconsistencies with solutions to the client to ensure site remains in optimum operational state.
- Client training
- Provision of technical advice to customers / end users.
- Routine PPM works
- Coordinate & reminder communication of works with customer
- Reactive aftercare assistance (troubleshooting)
- Small works alterations Client Training
Engineering
- Preparing scheme drawings showing port details for lamps and sensors
- IP Networking
- Fault-finding
- Network design
- Headend Installation
Documentation
- Issue daily SARs
- Issue daily Perspective snag reports for site attendances
- Prepare onsite health check reports
- Prepare remote health check reports
- Regular backups of databases
- Regular updates of site-specific documentation
Health & Safety CSCS accreditation to include:
- Human Focus
- First Aider
- Electrical Safety
Out of hours work will be required occasionally depending on the client/job spec.
