The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouse and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
The company is looking to appoint a Stores Supervisor as soon as possible for phase 1 of the project lasting 3 months till Mid-November, with the potential extension into phase 2 which could run till March 2020.
You will support and supply the new build and construction teams with the materials they need on a day to day basis (nuts and bolts), and special orders, making sure all items arrive on site when required and are distributed to the correct Supervisors and teams, to avoid any delays.
Key Features of the Role:
Utilise your expertise as a Stores Supervisor, Warehouse, Materials Specialist to receive, key and promptly distribute all supplies within the facility, as well as reviewing and maintaining all Min/Max levels for storeroom safety stock as well as all other stocking locations.
Be responsible for conducting physical inventories according to the defined schedule.
Follow hazard elimination program (HELP).
As Stores Supervisor you will need to be able to manage the day to day supplies required as well as liaise with internal and external stakeholders to organise successful delivery.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be an accomplished Stores Supervisor ideally with construction site materials experience.
Experienced in stock inventory control and ERP software.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and ERP software packages.
Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Own transport to get onto site, as no public access routes available.
What’s on Offer?
The Stores Supervisor opportunity pays a £26K - £30K pro rata basic annual salary on a temporary worker basis, potentially more for the right person.
You have the option to be paid as PAYE, Umbrella, CIS or as a Limited company and will be paid on a weekly basis, one week in arrears.
No Holidays are expected to be taken during phase 1 of the project which runs until mid-November unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site, and except bank holidays which no one works. Bank holidays paid for even though you won’t be working.
33 Days annual holiday allowance on a pro-rata basis.
Paid for training to complete a 2-day CCNSG course and 2-day Construction Safety course. Paid for Basic DBS background checks and toxicology tests.
Working 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 7:00am till 15:40pm
Free parking on the Company construction site.
