Description :
A Global Field Service Engineer is required to commission, install, service and maintain equipment used in the manufacturing of glass products. The ideal candidate will have a recognized qualification in Electrical/Electronic engineering, with hands on experience from concept to installation. Skills must include experience gained in a high-pressure manufacturing environment. The candidate will need to be experienced in fault finding as this role will be a mixture of manufacture, testing in the workshop and world-wide customer support varying from commissioning and training to fault diagnosis and repair. Our client is steadily expanding their operations and is looking to bring an hands-on engineer on board with the ability to work unsupervised, under pressure and to time constraints.

Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and commissioning of equipment
- Fault finding, repairing, testing and maintaining equipment on customer sites around the world
- Liaising with customer’s onsite ensuring their complete satisfaction
- Offering customer training on completion of commissioning works
- Producing engineering service reports
- The position regularly requires travel, within the UK and overseas, and work outside of normal office hours
Person Specification:
Essential:
- Electrical/Electronic engineering qualification
- Experience in fault finding
- Some experience with mechanical skills
- Proficient in computing skills
- Experience with PLC control systems
Desirable:
- A clean driving licence
- Foreign language skills
Salary:
- £40,000 pa + Travel + OT + benefits
Hours:
- In Chesterfield – 37.5 hrs per week (½ day Friday)
