The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
They are now seeking a Commercial Cleaning Supervisor to manage a team of cleaners to clean the various buildings as they are handed over to the end client. The role is considered permanent in that the role is for 2.5 years i.e. Until the end of 2021. Initially the team will be around 3 team members, but this will increase to 8 by the end of September and probably further increase until March 2020 when the last building will be completed.
Key Features of the Role:
Manage the provision of cleaning support, including accountability for the cleaning services and ensure consistency in delivering the highest standard of customer and operational service.
Co-ordinate and control all aspects of the cleaning services, including staff allocation, task scheduling, inspections, planning and cost control.
Maintain good client relations by effecting an efficient service to all, both the management and staff.
Lead teams with split start times and order cleaning supplies as required.
Follow Hazard elimination program (HELP) and you may be required to undertake First Aid training and be a nominated First Aid rep.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be an experienced Cleaning Supervisor ideally with a commercial and Industrial experience and be able to understand reporting systems and demonstrate achieving KPI’s.
Be proficient in the use of relevant cleaning equipment and able to train others in their safe use.
Ideally have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.
What’s on Offer?
£30,000 plus benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank and public holidays.
