Salary: £33,000 (Depending of Experience)

A leading UK company specialising in heat treatment for the Aerospace, Medical and Motorsport industries has a requirement for a Calibration Engineer
The Calibration Engineer role would suit an experienced calibration professional, who would be responsible for ensuring compliance with customer and international specifications in pyrometry and calibration based activities.
Applications from suitably experienced ex-military personnel are strongly encouraged
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform instrumentation calibrations and measurements in accordance to procedures, instructions and specifications
- Plan and perform instrumentation calibrations and System Accuracy Tests and Temperature Uniformity Surveys in accordance with AMS2750
- Investigate calibration related non-conformances
- Maintain relevant records, data and results in a traceable and auditable manner
- Manage the stock of relevant consumables and review their conformance to requirements when received
- Review and control of external calibration
- Development and upkeep of the AS9100 and AMS2750 calibration related procedures
- Assist in completing NADCAP pre-audit check lists in Pyrometry
- Planning Calibration activity
- Work towards quality department yearly objectives and meet personal objectives set by the Quality Manager
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent eye for detail
- Organization and time management skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Previous experience as a Calibration Engineer in the aerospace industry
- Good understanding of AMS2750
