Purpose of the Role
To provide support and cover to the stores Team Leader at Westbury, Wiltshire plus other associated outstations as required
Assist the Engineering Materials Manager as and when required
Assist the Engineering Materials Manager as and when required
Undertake general stored/ warehouse activities whilst ensuring that all Mandatory, Company Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards are implemented and adhered to
Key Areas of Responsibility
Booking in / out of Material/ Stock and tooling
Correctly labelling and advising on rejections/ Shortages and warranty
Manage repairable materials
Manage stock rotation
Produce reports as required/ requested
Undertake Stock checks/ Stock counts as directed and assist in any required
reconciliation and storage housekeeping
Loading and unloading of materials from road vehicles
operation of facility as laid down in company procedures and processes
Present themselves for duty promptly and fit to carry out their duties as required by the company policivy and procedures
From time to time if the need arises be prepared to lodge away from home for a limited period in order to efficiently carry out role requirements
When driving company vehciles do so within the bounds of the Highway Code and any approrpriate company instructions or procedures
When required, be prepared to work outside contracted working hours to meet company needs
Person Specification
Excellent written, verbal and IT Communication Skills
Must be competent in the use o microsoft office
Ability to work under own initiative without supervision
Self- motiavted, proactive and inquisitive
Flexible, honest and reliable
Possess a structured methodical approach to problem solving
Demonstrate the ability to work equally as well as an individual or as part of a team
Willingness to continue personal development through training
Having a positive outlook on the requirement from change to accommodate the current business needs
Having an enquriing and inquisitive mind and being prepared to challenge and think outside the recognised cultural norm on procedures and practices
Forklift/ Overhead Crane Operatoe trained (would be desirable)
Be in possession of a Full UK road driving licesne which must be presented for the company to see
