The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
It is now urgently seeking applications for the position of Subcontract Administrator.
This is a senior position which will be part of the project management team and the company is looking to appoint a person quickly and will last for around 9 months.

Key Features of the Role:
Utilise your experience as a Subcontract Administrator to perform a variety of tasks on the Construction site to perform a full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontract administration.
Qualify suppliers, issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, maintain subcontract files in accordance to established procedures.
Oversee and perform the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work on a project.
Solve problems requiring knowledge of field and industry best practices.

In summary:
Qualify subcontractors
Issue requests for information (RFIs)
Issue requests for proposals (RFPs)
Prepare subcontract documents and amendments, including identification and inclusion of flow down requirements from the prime contract
Perform commercial evaluations of proposals
Negotiate subcontracts
Issue of properly authorised awards/subcontracts
Timely resolution of Subcontractor Claims
Cradle to grave subcontract management (pre-award to file closeout)
Serve as liaison between subcontractor and Project Manager
Ensure compliance with Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS) and generate and ensure compliance for Confined space entry, Excavations, Motorized heavy equipment, Energy Isolation, Hot works, On, near or over water.
Follow hazard elimination program (HELP).

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be an accomplished Sub- Contract Administrator ideally with Construction site experience in administering subcontracts or procurement contracts.
Ideally a good working knowledge of the various types of contracts, including Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price and Time and Materials types.
Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

What’s on Offer?
£28-30K pro rata on a temporary worker basis.
Overtime is a possibility
Minimum Holidays are expected to be taken until November unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site.
