The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
It is now urgently seeking applications for the position of Traffic Flow Flagger.
Opportunities exist with the company on the project which is likely to start around late July until November 2019. There is a strong possibility that the role could be extended to March 2020.
Key Features of the Role:
Utilise your skills as a Traffic flow Flagger to control and direct movement of vehicular traffic through construction sites using sign, hand, and flag signals.
Warns construction workers when approaching vehicle fails to heed signals to prevent accident and injury to workers.
Informs drivers of detour routes through construction sites.
Responsible for public safety and placing signs, cones and traffic signals to advise workers and drivers of hazards.
Follow hazard elimination program (HELP).
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be an accomplished Traffic Flow Flagger ideally with construction site experience to control traffic flow around the site.
Experienced in the control and movement of vehicular traffic through construction sites using sign, hand, and flag signals.
Utilise your experience as a Traffic Flow Flagger to position traffic cones, signs and traffic signals on hazardous areas of the site.
Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel.
What’s on Offer?
£25,200 pro rata on a temporary worker basis. (Possibly more for an exceptional candidate)>
No Holidays are offered or expected to be taken during the 3-4-month period from late July to November unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site.
