The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and Logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
The company has recently won a contract to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a major construction and engineering project in the Waterside area of Southampton.
It is now urgently seeking applications for the position of Permit Coordinator.
The company is looking to appoint a person for the project which is likely to start around mid - July and will last for around 9 months.

Key Features of the Role:
Preparation and submission of permit requests during the construction, commissioning, and handover stages of the Project.
As the Permit Co-ordinator utilise your skills to review submitted permit requests for completeness or accuracy and confirming all required supporting documentation is included from a mechanical, electrical, and health & safety perspective.
The Permit Co-ordinator will perform an array of data entry duties, as well as be a hand on in-the-field link between the Permit Office and Contractor field personnel.
Initiate any needed permits during work and follow Hazard elimination program (HELP).

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ideally be an accomplished Permit Co-ordinator with experience in Permit-to-Work systems for installations in hazardous areas.
Experience in a petrochemical construction environment and knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures.
Knowledge of Health and Safety regulatory requirements and construction industry best practices considered an asset.
Ideally you will have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and databases utilised for tracking purposes.

What’s on Offer?
£25,200 per annum pro rata on a temporary worker basis. (Possibly more for an exceptional candidate).
Overtime is a possibility.
Minimum Holidays are expected to be taken from mid- July to November unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site.
