The Company and the Role:
Pioneering Tier 3 Network Support Engineer opportunity with an award-winning national Telecommunications business based in Birstall, west Yorkshire. This permanent role will have you working in a proven and passionate specialist T3 team of 13 successful and vibrant professionals.
Reporting to the Tier 3 Network Support Engineer Team Leader for enterprise networking teams, you will provide technical response, mainly troubleshooting networks and related router switching fault resolution, Wi-Fi, resolve platform engineering faults and fixes, unified communications, load balancing.
While the role will primarily be Monday to Friday 9:00 till 17:30, the company operates a 24 x 7 x 365 cover via an `on call` rota, which you will be required to support.
Using your superb technical experience, trusted multi-vendor background and proven ability to perform technical diagnostics, and administration, across the team`s product portfolio, delivering vendor network solutions at Cisco Gold Partner Standards.
The role expects you to be able to offer ground breaking and successful technical leadership, as well as define and document best practice to other support tiers.

Key Features of the Role:
Tier 3 Network Support Engineer will use exceptional communication skills when speaking with customers on a highly technical level, providing immediate resolution where possible, ensuring tickets are managed and progressed correctly.
Building trusted rapports and maintaining strong and successful technical relationships with internal and external stakeholders, applying yourself to a diverse range of work, meeting and exceeding expectations, learning and understanding new technologies and achieving objectives.
Providing 3rd line support and resource levels across the vibrant enterprise-based portfolio.
Carrying out proactive maintenance, Config backup and capacity management. Participating in Change Management process, attending CAB meetings.
Maintaining your Tier 3 Network Support Engineer technical skills and upskilling to cover all relevant technologies if and when required.
You will be a specialist in any area such as Juniper, Palo Alto, Cisco, FirePower, ISE, Prime. Fixing what is broken, network related, routing, switching, load balance, unified coms and platforming.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will need to be an accomplished Tier 3 Network Support Engineer.
As a Tier 3 Network Support Engineer you will need to be able to competently undertake operational duties on complex Enterprise Networks.
An understanding of liaising with Vendors at TAC level and be aware of the process and standard of diagnostics required.
Technical skills you must have are a hands-on implementation and troubleshooting of complex multi-vendor networking solutions, from a combination of Cisco, Juniper, HP, Extreme, and Checkpoint Security.
Current Wi-Fi Solutions experience including Aruba Clearpass and Airwave, Cisco WLC, Meraki, ISE and Prime, FirePower, Ubiquiti Wi-Fi solutions.
Nexus Experience (5, 7 series and 9K experience and or certification).
Load Balancing technologies such as F5 and ACE.
It is also mandatory for you to be Security Cleared.
Working towards or have completed your CCIE or equivalent is ideal. 
Knowledge of Network analytical tools such as Wireshark and Service Now ITSM system, experience of network management tools and fault finding. ITIL Foundation.

What`s on Offer?
Basic salary ranging from £40,000 to £60,000 per annum, which will be assessed at interviews and based on experience plus other contributing factors for the Tier 3 Network Support Engineer.
Core working hours 9:00 till 17:30 Monday to Friday, however there may well be some requirements to work outside of these hours.
25 days holiday + bank holidays + additional 1 day`s holiday for every year worked up to 30 days holiday maximum.
The option to buy up to an extra 5 holiday days.
