Job Details
Our client is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated General Labourer to work on their new housing development sites and operate a Telehandler and other vehicles as requested by the site manager. To support Site Managers with general labouring on site.
Applicants should have their own means of transport to travel between sites when required.
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel will be relevant for this position, although all qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Job Role
- Support Site Managers by carrying out general labouring on site
- Operate hired in telehandlers to a competent and safe standard
- Ensure the company’s policy on Health & Safety and the requirements of Health & Safety Legislation are met and safe working practices are adhered to.
- Effective daily use of appropriate company Information Systems.
- At all times comply with company policies, procedures and instructions.
- Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
- Effective working relationships are an essential part of daily working life.
- The focus in this role is both:
i. Internal: Colleagues within Head Office and other operating sites of the Company.
ii. External: Sub-contractors, suppliers, customers, utility providers, HSE, visitors, neighbours and the general public.
- These are illustrative principle duties and you are expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the Company to respond effectively to the requirements of the business.
