The Company and the Role:
Fantastic award-winning Gastro Pub based near Gravesend, Kent looking for a passionate and robust Deputy Manager to join their successful and permanent Front of House Customer Service team environment.
The Company has gone and done it again and won another foodservice award, to add to their other important accolades, which they are immensely proud to have received, and which is down to their genuine hard working and trusted BOH and FOH teams across their 8 venues.
Each venue offers the statutory gastro pub classic at the core of its menu; however, each kitchen needs the support and amazing customer service skills offered by the FOH team.
The Company will offer you a vital position in the management team structure, with a career development plan, and realistic promotional opportunities across the 8 venues, to progress your career path to General Manager.
Each venue works with locally sourced fresh food, offering a range of menu items with various cuisine influences, with some venues offering distinct and bespoke festival, food and drink functions, which all requires an organised and high value customer service focus.
The Company will offer you a genuine award-winning venue for you to be nurtured and developed, with additional training, qualifications and the support of the trusted and experienced senior business and Head Office management team.

Key Features of the Role:
Deputy Manager duties and responsibilities will be to help and support, or stand in for the General Manager, being a vital pivot between the FOH and BOH staff, in a multi award-winning gastro pub.
Self-motivated and emotionally robust enough to lead and mentor a team through professional communication methods, as the face of the company to customers.
Someone who can always offer great food and customer service in a relaxed and friendly environment, even in the face of adversity and pressure, using relevant managerial experience and methods to achieve award winning guest satisfaction.
Deputy Managers are leaders and should represent their company and themselves well by acting as a role model to the people reporting to them.
A great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award-winning pub standard, enhancing the company`s reputation for great food and exceptional service.
Working full time 5 days a week on a shift basis, with 2 days off per week.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will need to be an accomplished Deputy or Assistant Manager, ideally with experience of working in a gastro pub or at a similar level.
Highly customer service focused individual with experience in guest handling, service and hospitality, as well as being progression minded, looking to move up to the next career level.
Practical experience should ideally be supported by some form of catering and hospitality qualification.
Previous experience in a similar role requiring a broad food and beverage knowledge and precise attention to detail is essential.
A desire to work within a Gastro Pub, possessing ambition to continually push the business forward, and lead by example.
Experience in recruiting and interviewing, making sure new employees` transition in as smoothly as possibly, knowledge of profit and loss, margins, reports, etc.
Own transport is essential as there is no reliable public transport links, potentially there could be live in accommodation available, but this is not guaranteed, and no relocation costs will be paid.

What`s on Offer?
The Deputy Manager role will offer a basic salary ranging from £20K - £24K basic salary + Tips (on average £80 per week) + Bonus + Staff Loyalty Bonus Scheme.
Potential live in opportunity but not guaranteed and no relocation reimbursement.
Full time permanent working hours of 45 per week, 5 days per week, 28 days holiday.
