The Company and the Role:
Pioneering Front End Website Developer opportunity with an award-winning national Telecommunications, website development and design business based in Nelson, Lancashire. This permanent role will have you working in a proven and passionate specialist team and department of 9 successful and vibrant professionals.
Reporting to the Marketing Director and giving continuous feedback, updates, creative solutions and ideas on your physical process of web development and the core responsibilities of building, maintaining, integrating new technical solutions, as well as an element of design when it comes to serving internal business stakeholders.
While the Front End Website Developer role will require you to work Monday to Friday either 8:30 till 17:00 or 9:00 till 17:30 in an office-based role in Nelson, the company has indicated that if both probation has been passed and trust established, then there is the potential of working from home 2 days per week.
Using your superb website developer knowledge and experience you will be hands on and involved from day one in a fast-paced environment. Working in a digital production team, with a strong focus on creating and building conversion based front-end web pages and implementing responsive designs.
The role expects you to be responsible for the overall look and feel of multiple sites, offering ground breaking specialist and successful interaction and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Features of the Role:
Front End Website Developer will use exceptional website development skills when carrying out their daily routine, such as optimizing performance, analytical review and implementation, creating landing pages, assessing the market and industry sector for potential new technology which could compliment or improve the conversion focused landing pages and support campaigns you are responsible for.
Carrying out the physical processes of building websites, maintaining websites, driving website traffic, analysing and assessing trends, serving and liaising with internal customers who are also brand website stakeholders, building trusted rapports and maintaining strong and successful relationships, applying yourself to a diverse range of work, meeting and exceeding expectations, learning and understanding new technologies and achieving objectives.
Website design will be an element of your role, but the team already comprises experienced graphic designers, but the bias of this role leans towards website development. Areas of involvement would cover visual imagery, adherence to company branding, some graphic design, and manipulating digital photography.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role you will need to be an accomplished Front End Website Developer first and foremost, with some graphic design understanding, knowledge and / or ability.
Hands on knowledge and experience in website building, maintenance, conversion focused landing page creation.
WordPress Content Management System is essential.
In depth knowledge of UX / UI design is essential.
An understanding of conversion optimization is essential.
HTML5 and CSS3 hand-code ability is essential.
Experience in producing adaptive and responsive websites is essential.
Knowledge of PPC and CEO techniques is essential.
Adobe creative suite (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.) are essential.
Google analytics or similar analytical tool experience is essential.
Own transport is preferred due to office location, as public transport links are roughly a 15 minute walk to the office.
What`s on Offer?
Basic salary ranging from £28,000 to £35,000 per annum, which will be assessed at interviews and based on experience plus other contributing factors.
Core working hours Monday to Friday either 8:30 till 17:00 or 9:00 till 17:30, the company has indicated that if both probation has been passed and trust established, then there is the potential of working from home 2 days per week.
25 days holiday + bank holidays + additional 1 day`s holiday for every year worked up to 30 days holiday maximum.
