A UK leader in the provision of security barriers and fences, gates, bollards, traffic blockers and turnstiles need a Service Engineer due to the expansion of their business. As Service Engineer you will service, repair and install a range of high quality security systems, primarily at sites in London and the South. If you have hydraulics or electro-mechanical experience then this could be a great opportunity to join a successful business who offer training in skills such as gate safety to help you to develop your skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, maintain and repair security barriers, gates, bollards blockers and turnstiles
- Identify and rectify faults on equipment including, wiring, PCB’s, motors, pumps, valves, hydraulic hoses, chains and belts
- Install new components to ensure that machinery is working safely and efficiently
- Advise customers on best possible solutions to ensure that machinery is working safely
- Provide accurate service documentation for site visits
- Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with company Health & Safety regulations
- Maintain an awareness of company Quality Assurance requirements
- You must be flexible as you will be required to be on call on a rota with the rest of the team
Knowledge, skills and qualifications - essential:
- Proven fault finding and problem solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams
- Good working knowledge of electro-mechanical engineering systems
- Hold or working towards a relevant engineering qualification
- Competent to work on own initiative in potentially pressurised environments
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Flexible approach – willing to be part of an on call rota
- Full clean driving licence.
Knowledge, skills and qualifications - desirable:
- 17th/18th Edition
- City and Guilds or NVQ level relevant qualification
- CSCS card or equivalent, testing and commissioning qualification
- DHF Gate Safety accreditation or equivalent
- Experience working with Hydraulic and electrical equipment, manufacturers such as Heald, Frontier Pitts, Cova, Eagle Automation, APT, BFT, FAAC and other automation equipment.
Person Specification:
You must be hardworking, able to work on own initiative, committed to meeting deadlines and willing to undertake full security clearance. You will be a team player who is willing to be included within a callout rota. You must be comfortable working as part of an operational team that maintains a high standard of customer satisfaction.
