The Company and the Role:
The Company is a global temporary facility builder, and integrated FM and logistics provider. They operate in a number of environments but within the UK their work tends to focus on providing support services to large engineering and construction projects.
Our Client is tendering for a project to build a number of temporary buildings, including Offices, Canteens, Welfare facilities, Medical room, Warehouses and a Training facility, in support of a construction project.
Our client will not find out if they are successful until Mid-April which leaves minimum time to recruit around 90 workers necessary for the construction of the Temporary facilities.
Most positions will come to an end after 3 -4 months although a small number may continue for the life of the main project.
Expressions of Interest are requested for one of the initial positions to be filled, that of Construction Superintendent.

Key Features of the Role for Construction Superintendent:
Lead and manage the on-site construction team and coordinate and oversee all work on site.
Attend production meetings and review and familiarise yourself with the schedule and budget, and, ensure adherence to them.
Experienced in placing orders for materials and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
Follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met and monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance.
Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders and RFI’s and liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
Review safety task assessment cards from personnel and provide pre safety task assignment
Provide safe work observations (SWO) and ensure that employees are fully trained in the required PPE for assigned tasks.
Ensure compliance with Personal Fall Arrest System (PFAS)
Generate and ensure compliance for next procedures covering confined space entry, excavations, motorized heavy equipment, energy isolation, hot works, on near or over water
Follow Hazard elimination program (HELP)

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Ideally be an accomplished Construction Superintendent with experience in a petrochemical construction environment and able to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications and other documents.
Experienced in construction site management experience and able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel.
Ideally have a valid CCNSG passport or relevant document and be able to follow safety rules as assigned by the Company.
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and design software such as Autodesk, Autocad Civil 3D and proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs.

What’s on Offer?
£42-45K pro rata on a temporary worker basis.
No Holidays are offered or expected to be taken during the 4 months unless fully authorised by the Senior Manager on site.
