The Company and the Role:
Great opportunity for a permanent Reception Manager in a 4 Star Hotel in historic Salisbury, within easy commute of the train station, working in a 4 Star Hotel with an AA Rosette award winning restaurant.
This amazing and elegant venue dates back over 200 years, keeping the historic look and merging the Hotel with newer modern extensions, to create a fusion for their guests.
The Hotel can accommodate not only their normal capacity of 90 guests, but also private functions, with the total number of potential delegates or dining guests ranging up to 200.
The Hotel is also a very popular choice for festival weekend users and those exploring Stonehenge, as well as other historic and natural beauty spots. 
As Reception Manager your key responsibilities will be managing rates and room inventory, ensuring that the Hotel runs as close to maximum occupancy as possible, along with a maximum average room rate.

Key Features of the Role:
As Reception Manager you will also be responsible for training and monitoring the team, making sure they provide great customer service, and approach their shift responsibilities in a detailed and effective manner.
Managing the Front of House PMS system (Welcome Hotels Software), ensuring the daily figures and balances are correctly processed and the banking is completed.
Ensure the Ledger accounts are invoices correctly and Company procedures followed.
Communicating effectively with the third-party travel operators and business agents.
Processing commission invoices in an efficient and timely manner.

Knowledge and Skills:
As the Reception Manager you will need both knowledge and experience having ideally worked in a similar 4 Star Hotel
Ideally a recognisable hospitality or relevant industry qualification would be great.
You must have worked in a similar sized Hotel which can accommodate 90 people and up to 200 function attending guests or delegates.
Hospitality and service sector experience is essential for this role, as well as knowledge and understanding of guest management and customer service excellence in a Hotel.
You must be emotionally robust to handle a busy and pressured environment where the rewards are personal satisfaction and pride, as well as dealing with guest feedback and reviews.
You must have supervised or managed a front of house team, as well as carried out training and development of your own career and others in your team.
Excellent communication skills and professionalism are also key basic requirements.
A current knowledge and understanding of booking systems, Front of House PMS systems (Welcome Hotels Software), room rates and inventory management is essential.
You must have experience compiling and understanding reports using Excel, Word and other relevant software.
You must have experience dealing with 3rd party travel operators and business agents

What`s on Offer?
Basic salary package is up to £25,000, which will be assessed at interview and trial, plus shared Tips.
Working up to 45 hours 5 days per week across morning and / or night shifts depending on the business needs.
No live-in option available, however there is free parking and the hotel is within walking distance of the train station.
