The Company and the Role:
Amazing Pre-Sales Solution Architect opportunity within an award-winning national telecommunications business, this is a superb permanent role, working from home or in the field at client locations, with a 40% client communication focus and 60% technology and design work bias.
Working in the exclusive part of the Company`s Corporate Services Department, (cloud pre-sales team), providing highly skilled, trusted and accredited pre-sales technical support, knowledge, advice, direction and implementation to a range of cloud managed services.
Speaking to customers, gather their requirements from pre-qualified leads which fit the businesses ideal prospect criteria, then design the architecture in collaboration with operational stakeholders (internal and external), consider and potentially bring in new technologies from internal or external sources which add value to the project, then present the technical product and how you and the business will support and manage it through to the end of implementation.
Working from home ( ideal base is the West Midlands ) or out in the field (at the client`s location potentially), you will act as a proven Pre-Sales Solution Architect specialist, providing collaborative assistance throughout the process. Time spent working from home and at client locations will vary depending on business needs, client locations will be nationwide.
Attending update meetings, giving vibrant and passionate written and verbal presentations as part of the role, you will need to collaborate with a vast array of stakeholders. This role will not suit someone who only sees their way of Pre-Sales Solution Architect as the only way, and who is not inclusive to new technology or ideas.

Key Features:
As Pre-Sales Solution Architect you will be the ultimate middle man, using your passion and technical understanding, along with external professional influences to achieve a positive outcome.
Ensuring that you fully understand the technical requirements of the prospect client, so that you can relay all of them to other stakeholders (internal and external), and still have the same end goal and vision as the prospect client.
Maintaining a collaborative and passionate approach to shape the best solution possible based on the prospect clients, needs, features, benefits and budget, through technical design.
Bringing in new ground breaking technology if it adds value to the prospect client`s solution, while always offering trusted technical knowledge, support, and advice, using the wealth of professional experience and knowledge of your 7 co-workers, and the companies national experienced professional assets.
Complete passionate and engaging product solutions both written and verbal, explaining what you have put together, how it benefits the prospect client and how it fits in with their original plan, as well as being able to counter objections and technical questions accordingly. However, if the collaboration has been managed correctly then you should not have too much to worry about.
In essence the role will be split 40% speaking to and liaising with prospect clients and 60% technical design work. The average customer size is mid-market, with average set ups ranging from £200K - £300K, and average annuity ranging from £300K to £500K. Due to the Cloud solutions market, the Company has roughly 30% public sector and 70% commercial clients, so you background and experience can be from either sector. The company is winning contracts ranging from £10K to £1m from new and existing clients.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
As a Pre-Sales Solution Architect, you must have knowledge, skills and experience in the following areas to be considered for this amazing opportunity:
Microsoft Server and VMware Infrastructure Stack
Microsoft Cloud Services (Office 365), including MS Teams, Azure, EMS, Intune
Microsoft SQL enterprise design principles
Citrix / Citrix Cloud
AWS / other Public Cloud Provider
Tier 1 Server and Storage platforms (HP, Netapp, Cisco, Dell / EMC)
Back-up, replication, disaster recovery and availability solutions
Authentication and Identity Management Services (AD / Azure AD / MIM / 2FA)
Managed Services (Monitoring and Management Solutions)
Good understanding of Networking and Security Solutions for Tier 1 Vendors
Enterprise Desktop / EUC Design Principles
Service Providing Licensing Solutions (SPLA, CSP, VSPP)
Full UK Driving Licence maximum 3 points
Excellent telephone and face to face communication skills.
Excellent and proven collaborative experience in IT and Technical roles, dealing with internal and external stakeholders to work and design technical cloud solutions.
