The Company and the Role:
Amazing Network Support Technical Operations Centre Engineer opportunity in an award-winning national Telecommunications business in Reading. This permanent role would suit a proven NOC / TOC Engineer.
In this role you will work as part of a growing and developing team, reporting to a Technical Operations Manager.

Working in a team of Engineers offering expertise across all technologies, your specific focus will be on the network side, providing a proactive response to alerts generated by Operations Support Systems (OSS) platforms, as well as responding to tickets passed through ITSM ticketing systems.
In summary you will assist in providing technical and service leadership to maximise the performance of the technical operations team, assisting in improvement initiatives including system, process and technology changes and most importantly setting the right example in your professional behaviour and positive attitude.
Key Features:
As a Network Support Technical Operations Centre Engineer you will draw on your proven and recent Network Operations Centre engineering practical and theoretical, transferable skills.
Working in a hands-on capacity on multiple customer platforms, liaising with various departments, such as support teams and solution teams.
Transforming your CCNA qualification knowledge and understanding into practical solutions using previous hands on experience gained during your career.
Carrying out day to day functions such as login into Routers, gathering information through analytical and diagnostic processes, you will be expected to require little supervision when carrying out your basic day to day duties and responsibilities.
Monitoring core and DDoS mitigation platforms, as well as corporate firewalls.
Working a shift pattern of 14 x 11 hour shifts every 28 days (Days and Nights).
Knowledge and Skills Required:
To be successful in this role as a Network Support Technical Operations Centre Engineer you will need to be accomplished in the following.
Network Operation Centre Engineer experience in your current or recent role, which must have included hands on experience not just a theoretical application.
Essential that you have managed multiple customer platforms, and network support knowledge.
Have experience liaising with support and solution teams, as well as other departments.
A CCNA or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential, however you must have implemented what you learnt in a hands-on technical capacity, as you will be tested at interview.
Analytical and diagnostic experience is essential along with information gathering, monitoring core and DDoS platforms and corporate Firewalls.
You will need to complete Security Clearance to SC level or the ability to be SC cleared, this is mandatory.

This amazing Network Support Technical Operations Centre Engineer opportunity offers a basic salary ranging from £25k-£38k depending on your technical tests results, interview score and relevant qualifications you can bring to the Company and role.
Shift allowance 20% on-top of basic.
