Our client wishes to recruit enthusiastic, experienced Workshop-based Plant Engineers to undertake pre-delivery checks, maintenance and repair of mobile small plant and equipment to comply with legislative, client and company requirements
Applications from suitably qualified ex-military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Marines) will be particularly relevant for this position, although all qualified candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates will be required to undertake pre-delivery checks, maintenance and repair of plant and equipment such as compact excavators, loaders, telehandlers, rollers, dumpers and similar equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years previous experience working in the Plant Industry and possess a good understanding of diagnostics, electrics, hydraulics and diesel engines
Essential Skills
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Ideally a minimum of 3 years previous experience working in the Plant Industry
- Positive, flexible attitude to work and the ability to perform well under pressure
- Safety conscious, observant and with good attention to detail
- Organisation & commitment, understand the importance of tight schedules
- Problem solver and able to adapt quickly to ever changing situations
- Committed to delivery and customer focused (internal and external)
- Ability to establish good working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels
- Based on Monday to Friday 7:30am – 5:30pm
