The Company and the Role:
A luxury four-star large hotel resort situated in the East Hampshire country side with great transport links to and from London. This hotel has a great reputation for the facilities it provides to its guests. With luxury accommodation, conference and function facilities, health club, spa, and with multi restaurants and bars this is truly a stunning venue.
With a capacity to hold well over 10,000 day delegates for corporate conferencing and event as well as over 200 weddings a year you certainly will be involved heavily with the food production offered. There is so much diversity in the food offering as a Chef de Partie within this hotel that this is an ideal place of work to further your chef development and career.
They are seeking a Senior Chef de Partie on a full-time basis and it will be your duty to ensure all food is prepared to the highest standard and providing a fine dining experience to guests, whilst assisting and developing the skills of the team.

Key Features of the Role:
As a Senior Chef de Partie you get to oversee a section of the kitchen, be it pastry, butchery, fish, sauces, vegetables and so on.
All food is prepared in house using fresh ingredients and local suppliers wherever possible and will be expected to create and develop and set the highest standards of food quality and consistency.
You will be a great team player with good organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a very busy environment, to an award-winning pub standard, enhancing the company’s reputation for consistently preparing cooking and presenting dishes to the right quality that is second to none.
Helping the Sous Chef and Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus.
As a Senior Chef de Partie you will have to be confident in managing and training all junior chefs working with you.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
Be  an accomplished Chef de Partie, have a good understanding of all applicable health and safety legislation, budget and stock Control, nutritional and allergy knowledge and food control experience.
Own form of transport is essential due to the location
You will be expected to have NVQ Level 1 + 2, Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 is preferred but not essential.
Be self-motivated, able to motivate others, possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills so that you can demonstrate in a trial interview, attention to detail and high standard
Worked in a fresh food kitchen, having carried out your own food preparation and you must be experienced cooking from scratch.
Re-heating and working with pre-packed, pre-made frozen food menu items is not the background required.
